We believe in the power of music to inspire creativity, expand minds and enhance learning – and we’re on a mission to bring that transformative power to as many children as we can.
There’s overwhelming evidence showing that making music together benefits people of all ages in many different ways. On the flip side, much has also been written about the decline of the arts in schools, but this is not the case everywhere – provision is patchy, with children in state education more likely to miss out.Â
Working in schools, Synfonia reaches children who might otherwise miss out on opportunities to collaborate with professional musicians and experience a real live symphony orchestra in their own school hall.
At the other end of the education system, our young professional musicians have had some of the best training in the world, but are starting out in their careers at a difficult time. Synfonia offers them stability while they establish themselves, using their talents to bring classical music to a wider audience.
To do all this we need your support. Your generosity will help children to blossom, enable young musicians to make the first steps in their careers, and inspire the classical audience of the future.
